Terrorism Not New to France

Almost half of the 500 terrorist acts in Europe last year were in France ("France Frequent Target of Islamic Extremist Terrorism," Voice of America, January 8, 2015). But terrorism on the scale of the recent Charlie Hebdo attacks started in 1995 when eight people were killed and over one hundred people were hurt in a bomb explosion on a Paris train.
